what we are all about

We exist to call men and women to celebrate and be changed by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus and His Lordship over all of life - for the good of our city and the world.

In the gospel we meet a God who has acted decisively in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus to redeem and restore people to Himself. Jesus lives the life we could not live, dies the death that we deserve to die, and is raised from the dead and revealed to be the King over all creation. This was no arbitrary event in history; it is the decisive moment.

The gospel tells the whole story of Biblical history and how God has acted decisively in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus to redeem the world for His glory. Preaching the gospel means showing how Jesus is the fulfillment and goal of every biblical text and essential to every individual's life.

What to Expect...

We know visiting a new place can be intimidating for guests. We want to help alleviate that feeling!

The Atmosphere @Amesblvd.

When visiting for the first time you will find a small, yet very diverse group of believers varying in age, background, ethnicity, and so on. We are not formal by any means, so feel free to dress casual if you like. Being a small church brings a warmness to our fellowship and every individual is valued and plays an important role.

Our pastor Dr. Bob Stewart serves as professor of theology and philosophy at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He bring a wealth of great insight to our preaching, teaching and leadership so bring a notepad! We know you'll be blessed.

Our worship often features new songs you may hear on the radio paired with time honored hymns sung by Christians throughout the ages.

Our Different Meeting Times.

Our Sundays start with bible study for all ages (including infants) at 9:30am. Following bible study, we gather in the Worship Center Building for our Sunday service at 10:45am. We offer nursery and extended care at this time and also have a service specifically catered to children as well.

Wednesday nights we meet for a meal in our fellowship hall at 5:30pm and move to the worship center at 6:30pm for a rich study of God's word followed by a prayer meeting.

On Your First Visit.

You're our guests and we don't want you to feel any pressure to give money, stand up in front of the church, or do anything you wouldn't feel comfortable doing. However when you visit, be sure to fill out the information tear-off connected to our bulletin and drop it in an offering plate or give it to one of our staff. If you enjoyed the service, let us know!

If you visit on a Wednesday Night Fellowship Meal,
your first meal is on us!
