Starting April 6th on Wednesdays

Ames is beginning a course designed to help you become a better steward of your financial resources and a stronger, more mature follower of Jesus in the process!

Chances are really stressed out!

A study released by the American Psychological Association in 2015 found that at least 3-quarters of Americans are experiencing some form of financial stress some of the time. And 1-quarter of Americans are currently experiencing severe financial stress. Those are HUGE numbers! Even worse, within relationships, 35 percent of couples report the primary cause of their tension is due to financial stress. (Annoying habits came in second at 25 percent...) Among adults in committed relationships aged from 44-54, about 44 percent of their relationship stress was due to finances. With finances being such a contributor to stress within our lives and uncertainty about our future, we believe it is so important to teach scriptural principles that will help you in any circumstance navigate through these murky waters. That is why we're introducing a course called Compass.

Some of the topics contained in this study include:

  • God's Part & Our Part
  • Debt, Honesty & Counsel
  • Generosity
  • Work
  • Saving & Investing
  • Handling Crisis
  • Eternity

We know the practical advice of this study will be greatly beneficial to you. Each week's study will feature scripture memory as well as scripture passages for study, practical financial information, and helpful activities that can guide you in developing a stable financial future. The author of this study guarantees that if you put your effort into doing the work, your life will be changed for the better!
